In recent years, mezcal has become very popular, and the state of Oaxaca is the center of production of this ancestral beverage of mexico. The town of San Dionisio, Ocotepec has some of the best mezcal in Oaxaca. Explore and discover each part of the process of this artisan drink made by Zapotec workers of this village.
On this tour you can learn much about the culture and tradition of this drink. We will visit fields full of agave where you can learn about the cultivation of this plant.
We will also visit a couple of local distilleries where you can participate in mezcal tastings.

ITINERARY
My driver and I will pick you up at a convenient spot for you in Oaxaca City at 08:30 am . We’ll enjoy the scenic 75 minute drive through the central valleys and arrive to my home town
We’ll start the day with a delicious traditional breakfast of the region.
in this first artisanal mezcal distillery you can learn about the prosses of making mezcal step by step
My mother will prepare a delicious Zapotec meal of this region with fresh, wholesome food, including tortilla that she makes on the spot in our kitchen
We will visit near to my town agave planting where you can learn about the cultivation of this plant and also you will be able to make a photoshoot.
After our full day, you can relax and enjoy the scenery as we deliver you back to Oaxaca City.
