Tour #2 HIKING - PICNIC - MEZCAL
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
This tour is a full-day adventure that includes a hike through an oak forest exploring a Zapotec town and learning about the cultivation of agave and the production of mezcal.
We’ll go to San Dionisio Ocotepec( my home pueblo) where my mother will receive us with bread and hot chocolate to energize us for our walk. We will walk through my town before traveling 20 minutes to the beginnin the trail in the mountains.
After approximately 2 hours of walking, we will be ready to enjoy our picnic, a typical Zapotec lunch of healthy, freshly made food.
We end our adventure with a demonstration and tasting at an artisanal mezcal distillery. Bottles of mezcal will be available for your purchase (cash only, please).
After our full day, you can relax and enjoy the scenery as we deliver you back to Oaxaca City.

ITINERARY
My driver and I will pick you up at a convenient spot for you in Oaxaca City at 08:30 am . We’ll enjoy the scenic 75 minute drive through the central valleys and arrive to my home town
We will visit a traditional mezcal distillery with artisan techniques , includes a mezcal tasting.
After our full day, you can relax and enjoy the scenery as we deliver you back to Oaxaca City.
